Part 2

The monsoon rains had suddenly started slashing heavily and therefore the communication to the outer world was cut-off due to network failure. Khushi tried to contact Arnav but she could not get through him. He remained unavailable throughout the day. The flight booked by La got cancelled due to the inconsiderate climate.

They were delayed further by Payal’s father whose health became unconditionally worse and Payal had to stay back .They were helpless and could not do anything and they were at the end of their wits. La was getting highly impatient and restless and annoyed with the rain further. The rain which brought solace to her heart since her parent’s death became her worst enemy today. She was cursing the damn rain her so called playmate. She again fell in the hands of the destiny yet again. She resolved herself to be strong for her Khushi and as well as for her, but here she was breaking again .she cried after a long time for her friend and entered the small shrine at her home which was closed since her parents left her.

She cried before Devi maiyya idol and prayed plz save my friend ma don’t make me lose her at least. I have already lost my dear ones and not anymore plz... She prayed vehemently.

Khushi’s ever effervescent mind became still and she became numb. Her silence prevailed and she was made puppet in the hands of their parents and destiny and the mirror mocked her for her fate and the decorations of the house and all the previous signs stood the witness of her impending doom. A chill ran down her spine and what if everyone failed to stop this engagement and this thought dreaded her. She became cold. She took a drastic step to stop this for once by finishing off her life.

Several shock waves hit her mind when she thought what would happen to her dad once she takes her life, he has to answer rapid fire questions emitted from everyone and he will face humility before the society. She cannot let down her father even now and her parents had always been very loving and supportive in all her life. She hated herself for even thinking of suicide.

She was never a coward like this and she was always strong and never doubted her parents’ decision. They were always right in making plans for her future and well being. Being made her decision she stood up to face the reality. She quickly washed her face and sorted out her state of mind. She became calm and composed.

At RM, Arnav fell unconscious due to his failure of taking his regular medicines for his diabetes he has been skipping his breakfast lately due to his unknown tension. Anjali would chide him daily to have his food but he would leave in pretence of some urgent work and promising he would take at office as usual he would be caught up at work and thus forgetting his food. Today also he has done the same thing he came back home to fetch an important deal file which he left in the morning.

 Anjali jolted him to wake him up but he was swooning further, panic stricken she called the family doctor Dr. Saxena. Nani was worried and she was practically choking to watch her chottey lying on the bed still even after putting under medication and Dr. Saxena gave him drips to balance his body glucose level. mama and mami were worried  for his negligence towards his health.

Prologue:

Love is a beautiful thing to fascinate for those who has not experienced it

Yeah, but

For Khushi, it is literally a pain to last her a lifetime she was warned not to fall in love but she did not hear or should i say destiny did not allow her... devi mayya planned it all...

Today is her wedding day, she will be Khushi Raj Malhotra no more...Khushi Ar... the thought  made her cry even more ...

She cried on and on till she washed off her heart away from his memories

                                                Looking at herself in the mirror one last time, she cleaned her face which was soaked with tears and retouched her face and put the veil on her again

Her lehenga and the dupatta over her head felt less heavier than her heart, she took each and every careful steps to reach the door where her amma and buaji knocked several times.

She flashed her fake smile again to them...

To her mother and aunt she looked like a perfect bride to be led into the altar for the wedding ceremony ...

Anjali is all worried and choked with tears running down her cheeks on seeing her chottey laying still in his bed ..

PART -1

The News

Khushi came home for her winter break from college but she was shocked to find the gupta house was fully decorated and it looked like a bride. she pinched herself  to check whether she was dreaming as she was in her Arnav's thoughts and was very happy.

 

To her utter dismay her father said that she is getting married after two days and it was the surprise they had planned and today was her engagement day. He just hugged her and said he was so happy for her and can't wait to see her as a bride soon. She could not move or react and just made a big O and got shocked. Her mother and buaji rushed to her and got her luggage and pushed it in her bed room. Garima started to talk about the impending engagement and she said Malhotra and Gupta going to be family members finally.

 Garima: Ya Khushi u r going to be engaged to Raj at today evening and am so excited and priya as well she will be here any minute to see u. So go and freshen up and get ready dear.

Buaji: Khushi here is ur engagement dress and see it is ur favourite colours pink and green. Ur dad himself purchased it for u.

Garima and buaji went away...

It took nearly 10 minutes to capitalise the news that shocked her to the core. she was stunned  and she started to cry and went to her devi maiyya idol started to cry and rant  to her and complaining that y she did this to her and  plzz maa save me  from this disaster.

Hey devimaiyya y it should happen to me????? ...am i that bad and unlucky to be deprived of my dreams ???y me maaa ????she could not understand y her fate is like this??

She saw her engagement dress it was her fav colour but to the controversy once her dad did not think whether this marriage would be her interest and even he did not care to say about this before the engagement day. She cried again and again. She could not think straight  and called her best friend lavanya and said everything happened in her house.

 lavanya  asked did she inform Arnav about this and say him he will solve your problem and i will  get payal and sam and will be arriving tonight don't worry dear i will sort them out plzz don't cry ... lavanya,sam and payal are  damn worried and they rush to luck now in the next available flight.

At RM,

Anjali: chottey y r u so tensed??? Any deal is not finalised ah..

Arnav: not like that di  iam trying a client i am not able to get through the call. Its damn switched off. He is all worked up and restless.

Anjali : ok chottey i am going to temple and pick me up by 6 ok

Arnav: ok di bye

Arnav in his self thoughts.. y do i get the feeling that something is wrong and my intuition is not i have to know what it is ??? let me call aman. He checked with aman too and absolutely it is fine ASR. Ok aman bye

What the???? What is happening to me???? Di, nani and ...and faints...

She is the college senior to Khushi and she calls her jiji as she is very close to her .She is daughter of kunal Khanna and gauri Khanna

Highly principled man very strict and hates love because of his family past

He is a MD of Gupta chain of hotels in Lucknow. He loves Khushi a lot and always see her as the family's asset .

She is a homemaker but educated and always supports her husband's decision.

aunt of khushi lives in delhi  and utters Nandkishore frequently

Independent and mature women and did humanities and sociology. She handles people well especially her brother Arnav (chottey). She is the presently the head of AR fashion engineering institute Delhi and handles AR fashions in Arnav's absence.

Arnav Singh Raizada: age 25

A man of few words who is an MBA in Harvard University, London.

He is ruthless and powerful to make deals a multi tasker, rarely shows emotions and he has a dark past so he doesn't believe in god or existence of love. It is always money for him. He loves his sister very much.

Akash Singh Raizada:  age 23

Very shy of girls other than his sister Anjali and he does his masters in fashion designing in AR fashions engineering institute and also works at AR in part time to gain business exposure in real world under ASR.
